Near the parish church in the historic centre of Simala stands the workshop of Francesco Cabras, the carpenter, su màistu de linna, a reminder of the many artisans who worked in the town in the past.
The workshop has remained more or less unchanged and displays a cross-section of life from long ago, giving visitors an idea of the many utensils used in the ancient carpenter's trade. These traces of identity are evocative when entering the workshop with its stone walls and observing saws, hammers, chisels and everything else that the carpenter required to perform his work.
