This portal has an archivolt in ashlars of worked stone with a dovecote above. It leads to a residence with a double courtyard, built in the nineteen forties.
There is a loggia, sa lolla, on the main façade, facing east and adorned with three rounded arches onto which all the ground-floor rooms open and draw air and light.
As in all Campidano houses, this was the place for daily living with a line of benches and bins and baskets on the walls, the heart of family life. This room is typical of the agro-pastoral culture and was where women prepared wheat for making bread and engaged in weaving while, at the same time, nurturing family and social relationships.
A wooden frame decorated with an elegant cornice can be seen around the portal on the main facade that marks the pedestrian entrance on the right and is symmetrical with the left leaf, which does not have a wicket door.
The lock and door knocker in cast iron are noteworthy and the material was clearly selected not only for its practicality but also for the purely artistic aspect. In some homes, these beautiful objets d’art lost their function or fell into disrepair and were replaced by modern bells.
In the courtyard behind the house, there were rustic out-houses, that is, s'omu 'e palla or hay barn, sa stadda or ox shed, and shelters for farmyard and working animals. The property had a second entrance for the animals.
